Remo Vinzens is a Swiss actor, theatre producer and co-founder of the Swiss Acting Institute. Through Independent Theatre Productions of SAI, he develops English-language theatre projects combining classical texts, psychological realism and cinematic stage language.
Remo Vinzens, born in Eastern Switzerland, began his acting journey at the age of 20, studying in Cologne and Zurich. His early theatre work included Brecht’s Señora Carrar’s Rifles, followed by appearances in television commercials and short films.
In 2003, he studied on-camera acting with Oscar-nominated actor Klaus Maria Brandauer at the International Film School in Cologne and later became associated with the Brandauer Ingenuus Ensemble. He later appeared in productions such as Long Day’s Journey Into Night and expanded his artistic work through music and stage performance.
In 2005, he founded Star Class Theatre Productions and is a member of the Swiss Stage Artists Association, affiliated with the International Federation of Actors (FIA). He later co-produced and appeared in theatre productions including Death of a Salesman, The Inmate and An Evening With...
In 2011, Remo co-founded the Swiss Acting Institute. In 2012, he founded Independent Theatre Productions, the theatre division of the Swiss Acting Institute., Independent Theatre Productions of SAI with productions such as Long Day’s Journey Into Night, Shakespeare’s Best and Chekhov’s Ivanov, and in 2018 Death of a Salesman followed by A Christmas Carol in 2020.
Through Independent Theatre Productions, he continues to develop English-language stage productions inspired by classical literature, psychological realism and contemporary storytelling. He is also the creator of the Open Acting Studio Days, bringing together actors, filmmakers and industry professionals through workshops, performances and public events.
Current development projects include Gogol's The Government Inspector, Shakespeare's Julius Caesar and Frank & Sam.
